The red trilobites from the Hmar Laghdad site in Morocco were hard to find when the site was still producing fossils, and complete specimens were particularly tricky to come by. Fossils from this site are also very difficult to prepare, and many lose detail in the process. This is one of the rare specimens that made it through the gauntlet unscathed. Showing detailed eyes, criscrossing spines, and tiny spines midway across the pleurae, this is truly a rare gem of a specimen.
